Whole Blood, Plasma, Serum and Buffy Coat:
Whole blood is drawn by the phlebotomist/OT technician from the consented donor in EDTA/SST/ACD/Streck/Culture Tubes. It is then fractionated into plasma, serum, buffy coat as desired. Customised prospective Streck tube collections can also be planned on request. Whole blood fractions like Plasma, Serum and buffy coat can be stored at around -20 to -80 degrees Celsius to preserve the stability of analytes and prevent degradation. These fractions have a wide range of applicability in liquid biopsy.
Availability: Around 20,000+ fractionated frozen plasma 1ml aliquots available, prepared from 10-12 ml of EDTA blood. Matched frozen tumor tissue, FFPE, Buffy coat can also be provided on request.
