About

She holds a Doctorate in biochemistry and has extensive training in laboratory medicine, including execution, calibration, and standardization of various lab procedures. With over 15 years of experience, she excels in handling advanced automated analyzers and quality control protocols in NABL accredited labs. She has mentored MBBS, BDS, and medical technology students, and has led quality assurance and project management initiatives.

She has implemented automated reporting for critical alerts, improved turnaround times for critical tests, and managed patient interactions for specific treatments. As a Quality Champion at Medanta-The Medicity, she developed processes for NABH, JCI, and NABL accreditation and designed a fully automated hospital lab. She has expertise in serum protein electrophoresis and immunofixation electrophoresis, ensuring rapid patient reports.

She has also managed lab with Siemens Aptio automation, overseeing special tests like maternal serum markers and newborn screening. She has validated tests on the LC-MS platform and is developing new methodologies. She is also actively involved in research, particularly on AKI prediction, PSA reference ranges, and new AKI markers.

  • ‘O’ level computer course certified from DOEACC Society, New Delhi.

  • Internal Auditors course for NABL conducted by CETE Bangalore for the guidelines of ISO 15189 and NABL 112 in the year 2011.
  • Clinical Laboratory Management four-day management course from Indian Institute of Management IIM Ahmedabad November 16 -18, 2015.
  • Internal Auditors course for NABL conducted by MELAP for the guidelines of ISO 15189; 2012 and NABL 112 from 7th March 2016 to 10 March 2016.

Achievements

  • Setting of Electrophoresis technique and individually handling all reporting and management.
  • Responsible for accreditations by national (NABL, NABH) and international (JCI) bodies.
  • Have successfully organized IABS 2016 (Indian Academy of Biomedical Sciences) as Co- organizing secretary, which was attended by 500 Delegates from 26-28 February 2016 at India Habitat centre New Delhi.
  • Assisted in successful installation of Track Engine by Ortho clinical Diagnosis (Total lab Automation). At present lab is working on Engine and catering around 3000 samples per day.
  • Assisted in more than 100 Standard Operating Procedures for laboratory operations.
  • Dealing with Day-to-day medical affairs of the lab, including patient and client interaction.
  • Management of Biochemistry department.
  • Project Management in key areas like specimen processing, decrease of turnaround time.
  • Organized two symposia in international federation of Clinical Biochemistry (IFCC 2017) at Durban on topics “Practical steps of taking Laboratory to next step” and “Emerging challenges of Laboratory medicine”
