At RGCI, our dedicated hematology section specializes in hematopathology, tailored to meet the unique needs of patients and their physicians. With over 14 years of exclusive experience in hematology, our team of hematopathologists ensures comprehensive and reliable diagnostic services. All investigations are meticulously supervised by highly trained technical staff and undergo stringent quality control procedures.
Our Key Services Include:
Complete Blood Counts
Our laboratory features a tract-based system for rapid sample analysis, reducing turnaround times significantly. Using the SYSMAX-XN 1000 analyzer, a fully automated 7-part differential counter with optical platelet counting, we deliver precise results. RGCI is proud to be the first in the country to integrate the OCD tract system for blood counts and coagulation testing, with all abnormal results manually verified by our expert physicians.
Coagulation
The coagulation laboratory utilizes the ACL-TOP 750 analyzer integrated with the OCD tract for accurate analysis. An on-board automated centrifuge minimizes error rates and expedites result delivery.
Flow Cytometry Flow cytometry is pivotal in diagnosing and monitoring hematological malignancies. We employ the BD FACS Lyric (3 laser 12 color) for comprehensive investigations, transitioning to the BD LSR Fortessa (16 color) by October 2024. This upgrade will enhance our diagnostic capabilities, making RGCI the second laboratory in the country to use 16-color machines for patient sample analysis. We specialize in minimal residual disease analysis for acute leukemias, non-Hodgkin lymphomas, and multiple myeloma, leveraging our team’s extensive expertise in processing and analyzing such samples. Additionally, we offer independent expert opinions based on raw data files (FCS or LMD) from cases processed elsewhere.
