About

Dr. Amardeep Pathak is one of the few Transfusion Medicine (MD, DNB) specialists in India, with special interest in Apheresis, Therapeutic Apheresis, Immunohaematology (IHL), NAT testing & Component separation techniques by automation. He is having more 12 years of experience in Transfusion Medicine.

His focus on advanced techniques in transfusion medicine such as automation in IHL lab, automation in NAT lab, automation in component separation, therapeutic apheresis procedures [Peripheral Blood Stem Cell Collection (PBSC), Lymphocyte collection, granulocytes collection & plasma exchange (TPE)] and Cryopreservation of stem cells.

He has started following services:

  • 100% partial mapping/extended phenotype matching of donor’s & patient’s blood for PRBC transfusion (To prevent alloimmunization & transfusion reactions).
  • 100% patient’s & donor’s antibody screening.
  • 100% leucodepletion of PRBC & platelets (Universal Leucoreduction – ULR) (To prevent transfusion reactions & HLA alloimmunization)
  • 100% Irradiation of PRBC & platelets with validated Irradiation indicators (To prevent Graft vs Host disease- GVHD)
