Dr. Sarthak Tandon is a highly trained and experienced radiation oncologist with over a decade of expertise in the field. As a dedicated professional at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre, he is committed to improving patient care and quality of life through both clinical practice and translational research. A firm believer in the impact of research on enhancing survival and outcomes, Dr. Tandon has developed substantial expertise in advanced radiotherapy techniques, including IMRT, IGRT, and SBRT, employing the latest technologies such as LINACs and the CyberKnife™ system.

Dr. Tandon completed his MBBS at the esteemed Government Medical College, Amritsar, followed by specialized training in radiation oncology at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre. His outstanding dedication to his field has earned him numerous awards, research grants, and recognitions, including the prestigious Dr. Satyapal Agarwal Gold Medal from the National Board of Examinations for ranking first in his DNB exams nationwide.

Currently, Dr. Tandon serves as a Consultant in the Head and Neck and CNS oncology unit, where he focuses on maximizing patient survival and quality of life through state-of-the-art techniques like IGRT, IMRT, and SBRT, delivered via Tomotherapy, LINACs, and CyberKnife systems. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Tandon actively engages in research and is a co-principal investigator for an ongoing Phase II interventional trial at the institute, which aims to enhance the efficacy of radiation therapy.

In addition to his clinical and research roles, Dr. Tandon is actively involved in the department’s teaching program and is frequently invited to lecture and conduct workshops at prominent institutions, conferences, and training programs, including ICRO (Indian College of Radiation Oncologists). Through these engagements, he plays a key role in fostering best clinical and safety practices among the next generation of radiation oncologists. Dr. Tandon’s dedication to excellence in patient care, research, and education makes him a valuable asset to both Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre and the wider medical community.
