With over 22 years of extensive experience, she has established herself as a leading expert in Pediatric Surgery, encompassing pediatric surgical oncology, pediatric urology, thoracic surgery, and neonatal surgery. She is renowned for her surgical precision in managing complex solid tumors in children and adolescents, including Wilms’ tumor, neuroblastoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, malignant germ cell tumors, Ewing’s sarcoma, hepatoblastoma, non-rhabdo soft tissue sarcomas and other rare tumors.
Having received her surgical training from one of India’s most prestigious institutions — Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, with 8 years of work experience at Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi — Dr. Mishra brings with her a wealth of clinical experience, academic excellence, and a deep commitment to compassionate care. Her journey is distinguished by numerous academic awards, national and international accolades, and recognition for her leadership in pediatric surgical oncology.

Every child is assessed in a tumor board and treated according to evidence-based, risk-stratified protocols tailored for optimal outcomes. Her approach emphasizes organ preservation, fertility-sparing techniques, and minimizing long-term complications, with the overarching goal of ensuring every child returns to a healthy, fulfilling life.
Dr. Mishra is also a prolific academician, with over 23 peer-reviewed publications, multiple book chapters, and more than 100 presentations at national and international conferences. She is regularly invited as faculty for academic workshops and conferences and has organized over 40 training events to advance the field. A passionate educator, she has conducted over 20 national hands-on training workshops on chemoport insertion, equipping more than 100 doctors across India with critical procedural skills that enhance safety and comfort during chemotherapy.
As Head of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) at RGCIRC, she has established a well-equipped unit staffed with professionally trained personnel. This facility has transformed care for patients suffering from radiation-related complications like radiation cystitis, radiation proctitis, radiation induced brain necrosis, non-healing wounds, osteoradionecrosis, and flap necrosis, significantly improving quality of life.
