About

Dr Vikas Arora is Consultant Head & Neck Oncosurgery at RGCI & RC. He is having an experience of 13 years. His special interest in oral, laryngeal malignancies and skull base surgeries. He completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Nagpur and MS from Smt NHLM Medical College Ahmedabad. He did his fellowship in Head & Neck Oncology from Jalandhar. Dr Vikas has published many articles in various International and National Journals.

He has contributed 3 chapters in the book "Essentials of Oral Cancer" published in 2022. He has completed World Skull Base Fellowship Diploma in Lateral Skull Base Surgery Ramaiah University Ramaiah Advanced Learning Centre, Bangalore in the year 2023.

He has performed more than 200 Total Laryngectomies, 20 Gastric Pull up procedures, 300 thyroidectomy surgeries, 2000 commando surgeries and skull base surgeries. Routinely engaged in Voice rehabilitation sessions and Voice Clinic. He is expert in life saving procedures in Head & Neck surgeries and difficult emergency tracheostomies. Interested in learning and performing recent techniques and utilizing modern tools in the field of Head and Neck Oncosurgery.

  • Performing and assisting assess the whole spectrum of routine Head and Neck Surgeries that include Major Commando resections, Laryngectomy, Micro-laryngeal surgery, CO2 and Diode LASER procedures, Skull Base Surgeries, Thyroidectomy, Partotidectomy, routine endoscopies.
  • Laryngectomy, MLS and other laryngeal surgeries.
  • Rehabilitation post laryngectomy including usage of voice prosthesis (TEP insertion).

  • Well trained in Fibreoptic Laryngoscopy, Bronchoscopy and Upper GI Endocscopy procedures.
  • Expert in life saving procedures in Head & Neck surgeries and difficult Emergency Tracheostomies
  • Have performed more than 100 Total Laryngectomies and more than 20 Gastric Pull up procedures.
  • Well adapted in CO2 Laser Assisted Conservative Laryngeal surgeries
  • Have performed more than 200 thyroidectomy surgeries and more than 10 injection laryngoplasty procedures
  • Have performed more than 600 Commando Surgeries, and Assisted in more than 1000 Commando surgeries.
