Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre (RGCIRC) organized the second annual conference on Onco Critical Care which brought together leading experts, intensivists, nurses, and health professionals working in critical care areas from the national capital and neighbouring regions to explore the gaps in oncology care.
The conference featured expert-led sessions and panel discussions for healthcare professionals who are committed to advancing their knowledge and skills in field of critical care.
Highlighting the significance of the conference in pushing the boundaries of onco critical care, D. S. Negi, CEO, RGCIRC, said, “Our commitment is to advance onco critical care by not only improving our clinical practices but also by fostering a collaborative environment for ongoing education and research. Dr. Parveen Kaur, Consultant & Head MICU, RGCIRC and Organizing Chairperson of the conference, who emphasized the importance of such platforms for sharing knowledge and driving advancements in onco critical care saying, “Many cancer patients find themselves in the ICU due to complications from their disease or its treatment. The purpose of this conference is to raise awareness that cancer diagnosis is not a dead end. Intensive care is not just a reactive measure but an integral part of cancer care. Patients with cancer, irrespective of their stage, deserve the best possible intensive care.”
The theme of the conference resonates with the broader goal of improving patient outcomes and addressing the financial and emotional toll on cancer patients and their families.
